Roberta Ferrari - Opera Coach
What was the problem?
Roberta Ferrari built her professional experience in the world of opera, working as a pianist and coach in some of the leading Italian and international theaters.
After training at the Milan Conservatory and Teatro alla Scala, her path led her to collaborate with singers and conductors and to serve as rehearsal conductor at Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
The need was to transform this experience, developed mainly within theaters, into an online presence capable of reaching a very specific audience directly: singers interested in refining their interpretation, Italian operatic repertoire, and the bel canto tradition.
The website therefore did not have to artificially construct a professional identity, but rather make visible and understandable an authority that already existed offline.
How did I reason through it?
The project was built around Roberta and her experience in opera theatre.
Rather than presenting vocal coaching as a generic service, the site connects the teaching activity to the professional path from which it stems: the study of Italian opera, daily work with voices, piano accompaniment, and the experience gained alongside singers and conductors.
The biography therefore takes on a central role, together with testimonials from artists with whom Roberta has worked and materials from her professional activity.
The site collects, for example, testimonials from singers such as Chiara Amarù and Layla Claire and references to experiences and interviews related to the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and the world of opera.
The goal was to enable a singer to understand not only what Roberta offers, but above all what experience her way of working comes from.
What changed?
The result is a professional website deliberately focused on one person, her story, and her specialization.
Biography, vocal coaching, testimonials, interviews, and images together build the necessary context to present Roberta not as a generalist vocal coach, but as a professional coming directly from the opera theatre tradition.
The website thus creates a point of contact between a career developed mainly in theatres and an audience that can find her directly online.
In this case too, the technical solution remains relatively simple. The main work was understanding which part of a long professional experience should become the focus of the communication and organizing the website around it.
